1.) I_________________________ commit to membership in Carmel Farm CSA for 22 weeks, from May 10 to Oct 25. As a member, I commit myself to supporting Carmel Farm with a full payment at the beginning of the season or monthly payments. Additionally, I commit myself to weekly pick-ups or deliveries, at the [location of exchange] . I understand that as a member of Carmel Farm I am making a financial commitment to support Carmel Farm and to share the rewards and risks associated with the harvest.
2.) Carmel Farm is located in Naylor, MO. The farm has been in operation since 2022. Carmel Farm is committed to offering the best quality vegetables naturally grown. We want to share recipes and new ways to eat vegetables in ways you may have not tried before.
Membership
1.) As a member of Carmel Farm CSA I understand that I will receive a weekly share for a number of 22 weeks at a minimum of 10 lbs at 7-8 items each week. I understand that these shares will vary in size and weight depending on the time of season. I understand that the risks and benefits associated with Carmel Farm are shared and that damaged or failed crops can occur from weather and other environmental factors. Should crop failure occur I understand that there will be no refunds and the share size could be greatly impacted.
2.) Members are required to read the monthly newsletter, pay on time and pick up products at scheduled and designated points. If you’re going out of town or will be otherwise unable to pick up your share, please notify us no later than the Sunday before the pick-up. We will hold your box that week, and add $25 to your balance. You can spend down your balance over time by purchasing extra items, or you can request a double box for a future delivery
3.) All members of Carmel Farm are asked to check their email at least the day before their pick-up to ensure that no changes have occurred.
4.) Carmel Farm agrees to plant, grow, harvest and deliver the fresh produce paid for by the consumer. Carmel Farm plans to grow enough crops to provide for each share subscribed by the consumer, a weekly supply of produce that would retail for an average of $25.
Payment
Payment is expected before the season starts. The full cost of the CSA share for the season is $550. The total amount may be paid in full or may be paid in 6 monthly installments when a member agrees to this agreement.
End of Agreement/Termination
I understand that this agreement and my membership in Carmel Farm are valid until the end of the season, October 25, 2025. If the membership in the CSA must end due to circumstances outside of the member’s control a proportional refund will be returned to the member. I understand that if I choose to quit or if I am asked to leave the CSA I will be offered a partial refund, which will be determined by Carmel Farm. This refund will not be a whole refund and the deduction from the full amount will be proportional to the value I have received during my time with the CSA.
